Jie is a current graduate student at the University of Virginia, with VIVA. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Engineering degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China, in 2015. In April 2017, she received her Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering for her work on 3D segmentation for super-resolution imaging of bacterial biofilms.
Jie's current areas of research are in segmentation of 2D and 3D microscopy images and related image processing techniques.
