Brian O'Dell received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and the M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2002 and 2003, respectively. Brian's Masters research involved risk and safety assessment for railroad transportation systems. Brian has worked in industry for Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and the U.S Army.
Brian's interests at VIVA included medical ultrasound imaging, speckle signal, and speckle image processing systems. Specifically, Brian was intereste in speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion, edge detection and segmentation of organs. Brian's coursework concentrated on biomedical image and signal processing.
