M.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia
Katherine Outland completed the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with Prof. Scott T. Acton of VIVA and Prof. Barry W. Johnson in May 2008. She earned the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering concurrently from the Johns Hopkins University in 2006. Her undergraduate research focused on biomedical instrumentation and biometrics.
Katherine's research included face detection and tracking, with applications to biometrics and surveillance.
